Aims & Ideals

A summary of aims and ideals of Sri Mahavatar Babaji Mission as conceived by its Founder H. H. Swami Brahmanandaa Giri.

  • To propagate and impart practical and functional training in Kriya Yoga and other associated systems of yoga-meditation practices viz., Hatha Yoga, Karma Yoga, Raja Yoga, Bhakthi Yoga, Tantra Yoga etc, to all irrespective religion, caste, creed, colour, nationality, etc.
  • To help the seeker attain salvation or uninterrupted experience of union with God by the right application of principles of moral living, service, and practice of yoga-meditations.
  • To propagate the idea of “Yoga as Universal Religion”.
  • To teach mankind the truth that there is only ONE GOD, who is the Father-Mother of all of us, by showing the scientific way to direct personal experience of God and to show the underlying harmony in the teachings of various religions.
  • To teach the mankind that the purpose of life is to realize one’s own true identity as same as that of God, who is Existence-Consciousness-Bliss, and for the purpose establish temples of God at various places across the globe and temples of God in every human heart.
  • To encourage others to dive deep in meditation to know God in their own self as ever new joy, light, wisdom, love.
  • To help the humanity to relieve itself from its sufferings in all the three realms- physical, mental and spiritual.
  • To impart initiation into the ancient Hindu Swami-Order under Gurudev Sri Sri Swami Brahmanada Giri and provide training.
  • To prepare monks and non-monk missionaries for spreading the teachings of Gurudev Sri Sri Swami Brahmanand Giri and lineage of Great Masters and spreading the sacred yogic wisdom among the masses.
  • To help others for their spiritual and material uplift, by providing spiritual and material services to the needy, giving food for the hungry, taking care of destitute etc.
  • To serve humanity and nature as one’s bigger self.
